SUMMERTIME in Todi: Discover the real Italy in Umbria!

In Todi, a gorgeous Umbrian hill town, students enjoy living the "Italia" lifestyle: food, people, art, nature.

Italian language lessons will be held during the morning and cultural activities in the afternoon.
You can live with an Italian family or in an independent apartment or hotel.

Many of our students go regularly to the language school in Todi and stay with local families.

Itinerary of Cultural Activities and Excursions 2024

SUNDAY

We’ll meet at Rome International Airport Fiumicino FCO at 10:30 am for private transportation to Todi.
Benvenuti a Todi! Get settled and meet your host family!
15:30 Guided tour of the city and Aperitiviamo (let’s have a chat and get a drink together!) A chance to have a chat in Italian outside the classroom in a relaxed situation seated at the bar drinking a Prosecco or a delicious fruit juice cocktails together with your teacher!
(Evening) Dinner with your host family.

MONDAY

(Morning) Breakfast with your host family
(9:00-13:00) Language class
(15.00 pm – 18.30 pm) Half-day excursion to Carsulae: Carsulae was an ancient Roman city located along the future Via Flaminia, in Umbria. Although it was already abandoned in ancient times following serious landslides, it is one of the best preserved Roman cities in Italy.

(15.30) POGGIO BRICO – BIO FARM – Biological Farming combines the best of conventional and organic farming with an emphasis on attaining naturally productive soils that display high levels of biological activity. You will have an excursion of the farm and you will have a walk in its natural surroundings; FINALLY you will taste some typical BIO products such as special home-made jams and the real medieval spelt.

(15.00-18.30) Orvieto Founded in the X century BC by the Etruscans, it reached its peak splendor during the late Middle Ages, in the XIII century: the city became one of the major cultural centers of its time when Thomas Aquinas taught at the studium there. A small university (now part of the University of Perugia), had its origins in a studium generale that was granted to the city by Pope Gregory IX in 1236. The territory of Orvieto was under papal control until 1860, when it was annexed to unified Italy.

(15:00) Spoleto. It appears to have been an important town to the original Umbri tribes, who built walls around their settlement in the V century BC, some of which are visible today. After the fall of the Roman Empire, owing to its elevated position Spoleto was an important stronghold during the Vandal and Gothic wars. During the Middle Age Spoleto became the capital of an independent duchy, the Duchy of Spoleto (from 570), until it was definitively occupied by Pope Gregory IX in 1213. In 1860, Spoleto was taken by the troops fighting for the unification of Italy. The Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of the Two Worlds) is an annual summer music and opera festival held each June to early July in Spoleto, Italy, since its founding by composer Gian Carlo Menotti in 1958. It features a vast array of concerts, opera, dance, drama, visual arts and roundtable discussions on science

Plan B: $1,700 per person: Independent apartment (no meals provided), school and cultural activities
Plan C: $1,400 per person: accommodation in hotel (NOT included in the price, no meals provided), school and cultural activities

If you pay in one solution by February 1st, 2024, enjoy a nice discount (Plan A $1,690 - Plan B $1,590 - Plan C $1,260)
If you prefer to pay in 3 installments:

Down payment by February 1st, $650.00
Second payment by March 1st, $650.00

Italian classes (20 hours),
course book, La Lingua La Vita folder with pen, photocopies, welcome card, entry test, application form, TULPA certificate,
