TOSCANA VIVA: Silent Art Auction

Please bid on the works of Tuscan artists Stefano Puzzuoli and Ursula Corsi below or consider making a donation here!

These talented artists have graciously shared their works of art with the Society to be silently auctioned for a week following our inaugural art Exhibit on November 6, 2025.

As an official Ente Promotore, the America-Italy Society of Philadelphia is supporting the teaching of Italian in 17 schools in the region.

Your fine holiday shopping will help us reach our goal of $12,500!

After fair compensation to the artists, the funds raised will unlock the grant from the Italian Foreign Ministry (MAECI) that AIS-Phila will directly allocate to the 17 schools supported for the 2025-26 school year.

Every dollar you spend will generate $7.50 in direct support to these 17 schools!

Meet the Artists

Stefano Pozzuoli is a former engineer and a professional photographer, with an artistic soul that has led him to venture into dance, music, and wood carving. In the secluded days of the pandemic, he had the opportunity to hone his sculpting skills – study and practise, learn from mistakes and observation. During this time, the maker was born. "I developed my aesthetic in the form of sculptural wood vases, all made from salvaged wood," says Stefano. He was encouraged to pursue his craft by the appreciation of his work, and set up his workshop at his home in the spring of 2021. Surrounded by nature in the Tuscan hills where he lives, Stefano rigorously handpicks all the wood he works with from the forests local to him. As he carves and transforms, he welcomes the imperfections, colors and shapes of the wood varieties.

Ursula Corsi She was born in 1970 in Seravezza, a small town near Lucca. She studied artistic mosaic in Pietrasanta’s historic workshop Favret as well as in Spilimbergo (two of the major hubs of mosaic production in the world), and mosaic restoration and maintenance in Faenza. Since then she has been involved locally and internationally to create both private decorations and public sculptural pieces. Collaborating with different artists and designers, she fashions unique and evocative decorative pieces.
