 SUMMERTIME in Todi: Discover the real Italy in Umbria!

In Todi, a gorgeous Umbrian hill town, students enjoy living the "Italia" lifestyle: food, people, art, nature.

You can live with an Italian family or in an independent apartment or hotel.

Italian language lessons will be held during the morning and cultural activities in the afternoon.

SUNDAY
  • We’ll meet at Rome International Airport Fiumicino FCO at 10:30 am for private transportation to Todi.
  • Benvenuti a Todi! Get settled and meet your host family!
  • 15:30 Guided tour of the city and Aperitiviamo (let’s have a chat and get a drink together!) A chance to have a chat in Italian outside the classroom in a relaxed situation seated at the bar drinking a Prosecco or a delicious fruit juice cocktails together with your teacher!
  • (Evening) Dinner with your host family.
MONDAY  
  • (Morning) Breakfast with your host family
  • (9:00-13:00) Language class
  • (15.00 pm – 18.30 pm)
    Half-day excursion to Rasiglia: a visit to Rasiglia, a hidden water-wonderland in Umbria! It is called “the mini Venice of the Umbria region”. Founded between three springs, it has clear waters lapping houses and poetic lakes in place of squares. Rasiglia is also home to beautiful monuments – such as the Trinci Castle and the Sanctuary of the Madonna of the Graces, with its religious 15th-century frescoes – and is dotted of industrial archaeology sites, such as the remains of old fulling mills, grain mills, wool and dyeing factories.

TUESDAY
  • (Morning) Breakfast with your host family
  • (9:00-13:00) Language class
  • (15.30)  POGGIO BRICO – BIO FARM – Biological Farming combines the best of conventional and organic farming with an emphasis on attaining naturally productive soils that display high levels of biological activity. You will have an excursion of the farm and you will have a walk in its natural surroundings; FINALLY you will taste some typical BIO products such as special home-made jams and the real medieval spelt.

WEDNESDAY
  • (Morning) Breakfast with your host family
  • (9:00-13:00) Language class
  • (15.00-18.30)  Perugia is an Italian medieval hill town, home to the International University for Foreigners, the University of Perugia, the Music Conservatory of Perugia as well as
    other recognised academic institutions. Perugia is home to many of Italian finest Opera singers, like Antonietta Stella, Anita Cerquetti, Mario Sereni, Carmen Gonzales, Mario Petri, Marina Comprato and Paolo Coni, who worked closely with Pavarotti. The town also hosts renowned music festivals
    like Umbria Jazz and the Sagra Musicale Umbra, attracting world-famous musicians and enthusiastic fans and making Perugia, in the heart of Italy, literally beat!
    The city is also known for cultural events: the main draw in the summer is Umbria Jazz, Italy’s foremost jazz event.Its rich artistic and cultural patrimony and the natural environment make Perugia a unique city of major importance, since its origins. In Perugia one can sample good wines and many of the traditional Umbrian foods associated with festivals celebrating or religious festivities.

  • (17:00) ITALIAN COOKING COURSE – Umbrian Cooking class in Italian with an Italian family
  • (Evening) Dinner at the end of the Cooking Class
FRIDAY
  • (Morning) Breakfast with your host family 
  • (9:00-13:00) Language class
  • (15:00) Assisi. UNESCO collectively designated the Franciscan structures of Assisi as a World Heritage Site in 2000. Also, from the Romans' time: 
  • the Roman amphitheater, built in the early 1st century AD. Its elliptical plan is identifiable from the medieval houses built around it, and from an arch of travertine cunei. The arena now houses a garden.[10]
  • the Piazza del Comune ("Communal Square"), with the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo (mid-13th century), the adjoining Torre del Popolo ("People's Tower", 1305) the Palazzo dei Priori ("Palace of the Priors", 1275–1493). The fountains with three lions on the southern side date from the 16th century.

You can pay in one solution any time before May 15.


Price includes 
  1.  Italian classes (20 hours), 
  2. course book, La Lingua La Vita folder with pen, photocopies, welcome card, entry test, application form, TULPA certificate, 
  3. accommodation with a family in a single room, with private bathroom, every day breakfast and one meal (usually dinner), OR accomodation in an apartment.
  4. cultural activities: guided visit of Todi, Italian aperitivo, transportation, medieval dancing show, half day excursions, cooking class with wine.

Price doesn't includes:
Each private transfer from Todi to Rome (and Rome to Todi):
  • By private car, FCO to Todi, 70,00 euro/RT/person 
  • By bus (Sulga Autolinee) from FCO to Todi available for Euro 23-26
