90 Minutes per class
Tuition: $450
Session 1 - Monday 7:00 ET online
Session 2 - Monday 11:30 am ET online
Minimum requirement: Upper Intermediate
In our Writing Course, students learn to recognize and produce ten different types of texts that are commonly used in the Italian language. The course places strong emphasis on mastering correct grammar, syntax, and morphology.
The program is structured into 12 lessons of 90 minutes each. After an initial introductory and theoretical class, the following sessions will follow a two-part format. The first 60 minutes will be devoted to a practical writing workshop: each student will present a text written at home based on the theoretical guidelines explained in class, and together we will correct and discuss it, so that everyone benefits from the shared work. The remaining 30 minutes will consist of a lecture in which the instructor presents the features of a new text type. Students will then be asked to use that text type to produce their own piece at home, to be presented in class the following week.
To ensure that each student receives close and effective guidance, enrollment is limited to six participants per class. The course requires a minimum Upper-Intermediate level of Italian (300s). Because of the course’s design, completing homework assignments is mandatory, and students are expected to participate actively and constructively in all workshop activities.
