Corso accelerato di ripasso grammaticale per l’esame B1 di cittadinanza
CP10-cost $330, meets on Tuesdays, 7-8 pm (EST), that is 6-7 pm (CTS)
The class will be held via zoom. There will be 10 meetings one a week for a total of 10 weeks.
CP10 Course Description
This course offers an overview of the grammar necessary to pass the B1 citizenship exam by CILS. This course is designed for students who are close to a B1 level and need to practice the grammar needed for the exam. It is not meant to be a grammar explanation course, but rather a review course to deepen knowledge and clarify doubts. Students should already have a basic knowledge of the grammar covered (e.g. present tense, passato prossimo, imperfetto, irregular verbs, and pronouns). This course offers students the opportunity to review this grammar thoroughly and practice  in a small environment to better approach the citizenship exam.

** Prep Course info: CP4
Corso indirizzato alla familiarizzazione con l'esame.
CP-4 cost $150, meets on Tuesdays, 6-7 pm (EST), that is 5-6 pm (CTS)
The class will be held via zoom. There will be 4 meetings one a week for a total of 4 weeks.
CP4 Course Description
It is highly recommended that in addition to the CP10, students also follow the 4 weeks course specifically thought to practice the  B1 citizenship exam format.

WHAT IS THE CILS CERTIFICATION EXAM?

There are six different proficiency levels officially recognized by the Common European Framework of References for Languages, which translate into six different CILS certification exams and, subsequently, six CILS diplomas, that are valid throughout the world and never expire..The CILS exams (A1 A2 B1 B2 C1 C2) can be taken by anyone who might be interested, students and/or professionals.
Candidates may take more than one diploma (e.g. after an A2 certificate you can take the exam again to get a superior level certificate). Candidates who do not pass the entire exam in one session have 3 attempts (18 months) left to retake the parts that they have not passed. They will pay the fee only for the portion of the test they have failed. This option is not conceded to the candidates taking the B1 Cittadinanza exam.
CILS EXAMS LEVELS:
A1 and A2 Beginner levels; B1 low intermediate; B2 high intermediate (INDEPENDENT USER OF THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE)
C1 advanced; C2 proficiency (PROFICIENT USER OF THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE)

Please note that level B2 is valid also as language exam for admittance to any Italian University without the need for further testing, and that, with the C2 level certification, you can apply for the position of official translator from Italian into English, in several countries.

WHO HAS TO TAKE THE CILS B1 CITTADINANZA?

From 4 December 2018 (law 1 Dec 2018, n. 132) it has become indispensable condition for the issuing of the Italian citizenship by Marriage, according to artt. 5 and 9 of L. 91/92, to demonstrate the adequate knowledge of the Italian language to a level not less then B1 Cittadinanza of the Common Reference Framework for the knowledge of languages. The assessment of such requirement is to be achieved through the acquisition of a study title issued by an institute of public education, an equally recognized entity or through a certificate issued by a certifying body.
