Before filling in the form, please read the instructions carefully!

To ensure your registration is processed correctly, please follow these guidelines:

  • Complete Legal Name: You must provide your full legal name (first name, middle name, and last name) including any titles or suffixes (e.g., Jr., III, 2nd).

  • Place of birth: You must provide city, state and country.

    • Note: Please ensure the information above is complete and matches your legal documents exactly. This data is used for your language certificate; any discrepancies may cause issues with your Consulate application.

  • Email address: Use the email address of the candidate who is registering. The same email address must be used on both the registration form and the payment form.

  • ID/Passport Upload: You must upload a copy your Passport in PDF format (maximum size 2MB).

    • Note: We cannot upload other file formats to the official platform. Passport is preferable, Real ID Driving License are also accepted.

  • Retaking Exams:

    • Wait for Results: Candidates retaking a full exam level or specific sections must wait until they have received their official results before registering again.

    • Previous Candidates: If you have taken any level of the CILS exam in the past, please indicate this in the appropriate field and provide your "Numero di Matricola" (student ID number).

  • Multiple Candidates: If you are registering two different candidates, please complete two separate registration forms and perform two separate transactions. Clearly specify the name of the corresponding candidate and email address in each transaction.

  • Payment Requirement: After submitting the registration form, pay for your exam here. Registration is only considered complete once the fee has been paid. We strongly recommend submitting payment immediately, as space is limited and spots fill up quickly.

  • Policies on Cancellations and Refunds: Once formal registration is complete, it is final. Candidates cannot cancel their registration or transfer it to a different date. In such cases, a new registration and fee would be required. Please note that no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

Important Note for B1c (Citizenship) Candidates: Candidates registering for the B1c (formerly B1-Cittadinanza) exam who are total beginners or have never studied Italian formally are strongly encouraged to contact our Director of Language Programs, Michele Pergola. He can provide information regarding placement tests and our regular language courses to ensure you are properly prepared.
