I made my first bag when I was 15. It was cardboard and burlap, decorated with bits of colored wool that read VIA COL VENTO (Gone the Wind, just released!). Since then I made more than a thousand bags, progressing from straw and tapestry to fine leathers and suedes.
A touch of arthritis has now suggested that I switch my energy to teaching talented young people (like Nathalie) so that Philadelphia may still have some original leather craftsmen for those who appreciate them.
What you see assembled here are the final items (new, old, vintage) that may still appeal to someone. They have been arranged and priced in a reasonable order and will ultimately benefit this generous Society that has cheerfully hosted me.
Thank you for coming and so honoring me.
