Silvia Galati
LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR
Born and raised in Catania, Sicily, Silvia pursued her studies locally before attending Law School. She went on to earn a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics. After working as a lawyer in Rome and later in Sicily, she moved to the United States with her husband. There, she discovered a passion for teaching Italian to foreigners.
She is a mother of three and lives in the suburbs, where she enjoys cooking—once keeping a blog titled Italiano in the Kitchen—as well as exploring interior design. An avid windsurfer and tennis player, she brings her energy and creativity into all aspects of her life. Last year she taught Italian in both high school and middle school, and she has now returned to teaching at the America-Italy Society.
