TEACHING INTERN

I am originally from a small town in Molise, Italy, and I recently moved to the United States, where I am currently interning at the America-Italy Society of Philadelphia. I graduated from Sapienza University of Rome with a degree in English and German, where I developed a strong passion for literature and linguistics.

During my studies, I taught English in elementary schools, and that’s really when I understood how much I enjoy being around students. After moving to the United States, I had the chance to work in a Montessori school with young children, which made me appreciate the world of education even more. Those experiences meant a lot to me and helped me realize what I want to do in the future. I’d love to become an Italian professor at an American university, so I can share my language and culture in a more international environment.

Outside of work, I’m a true Italian — I love fashion and cooking, and they’re a big part of who I am. I really enjoy spending time by the sea, especially having an aperitivo on the beach, listening to music, or just going for long walks in nature.

Moving from a small town in Italy to the U.S. has been both exciting and slightly disorienting…some days everything feels new, and other days it already starts to feel a bit like home.
