LABORATORIO TEATRALE – THEATER LAB. Summer Period, from June 21 to August 28. Intermediate and Advance Levels. ONLY in ITALIAN. 10 weeks, $300 with material.
BEGINNER
Development of basic language skills. Introduction to fundamental grammatical structures with emphasis on speaking, listening comprehension and elementary writing assignments. Conducted in Italian and English. No prerequisites.

Program: First contacts. The others and I. Buon appetito! Spare time. Grammar: Articles, Adjectives, Names, Numbers, Present tense of regular verbs

Program: Spare time. At the hotel. Around Italy. Let’s go on vacation. Grammar: Present tense of irregular verbs, Time and Place prepositions, the date, Direct Pronouns, Present Perfect tense.

103 – Beginner III
Program: Let’s go on vacation. Tastes of Italy. Daily life. Shopping. Grammar: Present Perfect tense, Superlative, Impersonal Constructions, Indirect Pronouns, Reflexive Verbs, Adverbs, Comparatives.

ELEMENTARY
Continued study of grammar and syntax with emphasis on more advanced structural principles. More extensive readings on cultural, social, and literary topics and viewing of videos will form the basis for class discussions and written work. Conducted in Italian with some English.

INTERMEDIATE
Focus on aspects of Italian culture, history and social issues through the reading of a contemporary novel, short stories, and selected articles. Emphasis on expanding vocabulary, reviewing and improving advanced grammatical structures. Course work includes oral and written assignments. Conducted in Italian

Program: Review grammatical structures: articles, nouns, and adjectives, indicative mood of regular and irregular verbs. How to talk about facts.

TUITION:
$ 250.00 for a 8 week course
$350 for a 12 weeks course
Payable by check or credit card to the America-Italy Society.
Classes meet for one hour and half. If there are 2 – 3 students, classes will meet for one hour (10 weeks); if only 1 student, the course will become private (one hour for 7 weeks). Enrollment is contingent upon advanced payment for course and materials. To be eligible for a refund, student must contact the office at least 24 hours before the first class. After the first class, only a credit for the next session will be issued (a $30.00 per class is retained by the School). No credit is issued after the end of the 4th week of classes. The Society reserves the right to cancel a class as circumstances demand; unused tuition will be refunded.
