No language is more musical, more fun to hear and to learn. And to sing.

But Italian is more than a language. It’s a master work of art, like Leonardo’s painting, Dante’s poetry, Armani’s dresses, and, why not?, a gelato. It is a way of living, loving, and creating. Learning Italian language enhances appreciation of every aspect of Italian life and culture. There are also many practical reasons to study Italian: to prepare for a career in fields such as culinary arts, fashion or music, to expand or transfer your business in Italy,  to translate family letters and recipes, or to prepare a trip to Italy….

Accademia Italiana School of Italian Language in Salerno, near the Amalfi Coast. This school offers also programs for high school students  (2 weeks), programs for teachers or college students (4 weeks), and programs for students over 50 (50 PLUS - 2 weeks). More information here.

Marco Tullio Giordana, one of the most famous and celebrated   contemporary Italian movie directors, was guest of the Consulate General of Italy and the AIS in Philadelphia for a very successful screening of three of his movies. Many people attended the event, including students and faculty from local universities creating a lively and honest discussion with the Regista. Pictures of the events.
